Confirm Your Eligibility
Before you begin, ensure you meet the basic requirements:
- You must be a South African citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee.
- You must be residing within the borders of the Republic of South Africa.
- You must be between 18 and 60 years old.
- You must be unemployed and not receiving any other social grant or income.

USSD Code
Dial *120*3227# on your mobile phone.

Complete the Details
Provide your 13-digit ID Number and your Registered Mobile Number. You will also need to provide personal details such as address, employment history, and banking information for payment.

Submit and Wait for Verification
Once submitted, SASSA will verify your information with various government databases (Home Affairs, SARS, UIF). This process can take several weeks.
